Cancer is a major cause of death worldwide, especially in developing countries. The cancer may be related to whether the person is rich, poor, male and female, child or adolescent. More than 40% of all cancers are preventable. Cancer results from a single cell, which then will be transformed from a normal cell into cancer cells.

# Major causes of cancer are tobacco, alcohol, diet, sexual and reproductive behavior, infectious agents, family history, employment, environment and pollution of the environment.

# 80% to 90% of cases of lung cancer occur through the use of tobacco and smoking.

# Excessive intake of alcohol is a risk factor for certain types of cancer. The combination of tobacco increased the possibilities.

# 35% of cancers are caused because of dietary reasons. Excessive intake of fatty foods increases the risk of cancer.

# 15% of worldwide cancer deaths can be traced as a result of viruses, bacteria or parasites.

# Some types of cancer such as breast, ovaries can be repeated generation after generation of the same family.

# 1-2% of tumors from harmful radiation.


SYMPTOMS

* The usual bleeding or discharge.
* Persistent cough, hoarseness or sore throat.
* Some changes in bowel or bladder habits.
* Problems digestive problems or difficulty swallowing.
* A change in a wart or mole.


TREATMENTS

The cancer can be treated through surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, monoclonal antibodies or other methods of treatment, depending on the type and stage of disease.
